Lyons Commercial Data announced its data center successfully completed the SAS-70 Type II examination. The facility, co-located within Verizon’s Ashburn, Virginia telecom annex, has been comprehensively examined and certified by Ernst & Young, on February 15, 2006.
This examination assesses the suitability for processing financial information and other sensitive data, pursuant to Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (SOX 404). It also includes an evaluation of physical access to the facility, logical access to systems, network service operations and performance, power redundancy, and environmental controls. Within the facility, Lyons utilizes redundant servers, data feeds, and backup systems to continually provide clients Tier I performance, security, and business continuity.
As part of Lyons’ ongoing commitment to security, Lyons is also actively pursuing PCI certification – considered one of the most rigorous standards in the financial industry.
